Good News to the Fresh recruits...
The following is taken from the Policy Note of Tamil Nadu Government,
Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms

In the year 2006-2007, 1477 Medical Officers have been recruited by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. It has been proposed to regularize the services of 1055 Civil Assistant Surgeon who worked
on contract basis through a Special Qualifying Examination to be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
Further, it has also been ordered to recruit 290 Assistant Medical Officers
and 16 Assistant Medical Officers (Dental) through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
